Lambert在2009年2月开始这张专辑的制作。她自己编写并与其他作曲者合作编写了专辑15首歌曲中的三首歌曲。在专辑中，Lambert与男朋友BlakeShelton进行了合作，合作人还有前哥伦比亚唱片公司的歌手Ashley Monroe。


Charles Kelly与DaveHaywood合作了编写了《Love Song》并且作为背景声出现在音乐中。专辑还包含了两首翻唱作品，一首翻唱了FredEaglesmith的《Time to Get a Gun》，另一首则翻唱了John Prine的《Thats the Way TheWorld Goes Round》。
